What is pluralism?  What are the two critiques of pluralism? Do you agree with these critiques? Why or why not? Please provide examples to prove your point

Pluralism" is a theory of politics that contends that power is group-based and that political outcomes are the result of competition among groups" (American Government in Black and White 4e Enhanced book). Groups in the American government gain power, and that each group is represented with an equal opportunity when competing with each other for power. 

First is that Pluralism is a faulty description, according to critiques. E. E. Schattschneider by stating, "Americans do not have any interest-group representation," meaning that people with political resources and influence, like the rich, are the only ones who can benefit from Pluralism. According to Theodore J. Lowi, "these groups influence not only the formation of legislation through pressure on legislators but also the implementation of legislation through pressure on the executive agencies responsible for policy implementation," which he calls the Iron Triangle. 2nd is that Pluralism is Morally Bankrupt System, believing that it functions better when ordinary citizens govern the least, which is called democratic elitism. Having hundreds of organizations at all levels of government, if one group goes too far, others can take up the slack to bring the group back inline.

I agree because what is trying to point out that the law cannot stop the rich and powerful groups that have the government under their control.
