Management

Pls do case 8

5) In preparing the cases, don’t look for a single right answer. Each case will raise a number of issues that need to be evaluated. A good recommendation is on that is based on solid analysis, consider multiple courses of action, and integrates its individual elements.

Case Assignments

Cases are assigned for online and face-to-face discussions listed in the table below.

OnlineFour cases (# 1, 6, 7, 13) are assigned for online discussions on Blackboard Æ Discussion Board. The table below lists the start and end date for each case, roughly 12 days for each discussion. Occasionally, I will post other questions to encourage additional discussion. A group of students will be assigned to lead the online discussion (see your schedule below). Individual Case Briefs

Each student is required to write using the outline (p. 11) and submit case briefs for cases (#2, 5, 8, 11) and to be prepared for class meetings. The intent is to ensure that everyone reads the case and is prepared for fruitful discussions. Due dates are listed in the table above. Case briefs are individual activities and should be completed without outside assistance. Each case brief needs to be submitted by 5 pm on the due date on Blackboard Æ Case Briefs following the instruction below. Examples of case briefs are provided in the same location (Case Briefs Æ  Case brief examples).

Case briefs should be 3 pages maximum (12 point font, double space, appendices or figures can be on extra pages) using the following outline.

  • Issue identification (what is currently affecting the company that requires specific courses of action?)
  • Situation analysis (analyzing internal/external/customer factors surrounding the issue(s)) •    Development of reasonable alternatives (e.g., what options do you think the company could have?)
  • Recommendation (e.g., among the options, which would you recommend?)

Grading rubrics for case briefs

    1. Identification of issues – clearly identified the main issues in the case for analysis and solutions.
    2. The quality of the analysis – were the right questions asked with analysis factors surrounding the issues?
    3. The feasibility of the conclusions or recommendations – did they follow from the analysis?
    4. Evidence of mastery of the frameworks, concepts, and methods developed during the course; and
    5. The effectiveness and completeness of the written presentation of the report following the outline
