Why do you think its important to have a code of ethics? What do you like about the Starbucks code? What do you think of Starbucks as a company? do you think it is ethical?

1. Code of ethics is important because it provides their employees the guidelines to how to treat their fellow employees, their responsibilities and their behavior towards customers, suppliers. It's safe to remind the employees their daily tasks and objectives towards mutual goals of a company and methods in achieving it is equally important as the code of ethics by hanging in the doorway or so because that will lead to a more organized, developed community. 

2. I like that they have effective legal risk management and encourage people to speak up if they have concerns about the organization, this is probably the most versatile and concerning topic nowadays because not many people can speak up to their needs because they fear what can happen to them.  I believe Starbucks is doing what they can for the people so they can taste better coffee every day. 

3. Starbucks is a decent company I think because I've seen how they handled the situations and their methods are ethical as well. Concerning a situation where an Asian woman was being racist against in the Starbucks store was met with the top-level managers, compensated for it. Nowadays top-level managers don't usually go handle these kinds of situations anymore because of what they called their "precious time", but Starbucks do so I think it's very ethical and commendable.
