Communication refers to the act of relaying messages between groups of people (Maguire, 2002). Modern times have witnessed a revolution in communication due to technological advancements. Modern managers are therefore duty-bound to transform the work environment with timely and structured communication procedures. A good communicator manifests several features. First, he/she is clear and concise. Good communication is at its best when the message is conveyed with very few words. Sometimes, too much information can drive away from the attention of the audience. However, a communicator might go in-depth when necessary. Secondly, he/she has perfected the art of listening. Often, people think writing and speaking are the major communication components. However, being a good listener is a fundamental skill. Empathetic listening ensures that you respond appropriately to the needs of the other party. Thirdly, a good communicator should be confident. Communication is not limited to verbal engagement; non-verbal clues pass a significant message. A confident stance changes the whole presentation scene. Fourthly, a good communicator is honest, authentic, and quite approachable. People don't just remember good acts; they do not forget the mean ones too. Good communicators change the scene into that which embraces everyone. Moreover, a good communicator is people-centered. He/she seeks to understand the needs of the audience before tailoring the information needs for such a group. Further, he/she possesses the wisdom necessary to solve conflicts amongst parties (Maguire, 2002).

Communication has been identified as the cornerstone of a company's success (McKay, 2009). Effective communication ensures that information flows freely between parties. Hiring good communicators is the turnaround for an organization. The benefits are numerous. First, it increases productivity levels. Productivity irises when parties understand their scope of duties. Secondly, it results in the production of high-quality goods and services. This is because good communication brings customers on board and therefore an organization can tailor its mandate to suit their needs. Thirdly, greater trust levels are realized with improved communication. Further, good communication improves employee engagement. This raises creativity to greater levels. Moreover, good communicators are ideal for progressive workplace relationships. Mutual grounds can be reached at any given time. Also, good communicators embrace change. They understand the evolution of company processes and thus heeds to any necessary changes. Lastly, hiring good communicators is ideal for reducing industrial unrest. This is possible because they can reach out to the management easily and articulate their concerns in the most acceptable manner (Hargie, 2016).

My communication skills have improved over time. My greatest strengths outweigh my single most weakness. I am a good listener. I listen empathetically to people with the sole aim of understanding an issue from their point of view. Secondly, my non-verbal clues usually reveal the intended message. However, they can confuse me when I chose to hide my stand over an issue. Thirdly, I have inculcated it in my culture to speak honestly. Honesty increases one's credibility.  Further, I ensure that emotions do not derail my communication processes. Thus, I have developed the capacity to manage my emotions. My greatest challenge pertains to limited confidence levels (McKay, 2009). I am a shy person in public. Therefore, I rarely start up a conversation. However, as I intend to enter the working environment, I am planning to engage in activities that can boost my confidence level.  First, before participating in any activity like public speaking, I will prepare extensively. Preparation guarantees information. Secondly, I hope to build a culture of reading to improve my knowledge of diverse issues. I will also attend training that can help build on public relations skills. Thirdly, the power of positive thinking can boost morale. Therefore, I will tune my mind to positivity at all times. Further, I will seek participation in voluntary activities. This gives the hands-on experience and serves as a confidence booster. Also, I will engage the services of a confident role model. I will observe his/her day-to-day interactions with people. Lastly, calmness has been identified as a confidence booster. I will try to practice calmness even in stressful situations.

You are hereby tasked with constituting a 5 member committee that will delve into the issue and examine the gravity of the matter. The committee will conduct the study for 3 months and come up with a report. The study should be employee-centered and thus committee members are requested to speak to a diverse section of the workers to clearly understand the varied nature of their problems.

The company is very keen about the affairs of its workers and is very concerned about this matter. Reach out to me via e-mail for further guidelines on the matter.
