This project has selected the issues affecting diverse communities considering the treatment of CAUTIs infections. These infections have been witnessed in diverse communities with differences in the treatment and intervention strategies. On the same note, the treatment outcomes differ considering the approaches selected and the current trends in patient compliance (Eggimann et al., 2019). The findings directly connect with the capstone project considering the overall effects of such interventions on diverse populations diagnosed with CAUTIs (Meddings et al., 2019). This project will be completed focused on three primary objectives as listed below.

Objectives

1. To improve patient awareness on the best practices to minimize CAUTIs.

This objective will target the care consumers to improve their educational awareness and capacities, considering the best practices that should be followed to ensure maximum health outcomes. On the same note, this objective will empower the patients on the best behavior to adopt to ensure maximum health outcomes (Spencer Makic & Shaw, 2019).

2. To inform the clinical stakeholders about the efficacy of indwelling urinary catheters and external catheterization procedures on patient health outcomes.

Through this objective, the research will gather evidence that compares the effectiveness of the two modes of UTI treatment focusing on the internal and external procedures on patient outcomes.

3. To explore the effectiveness of a bundle of care in treating patients diagnosed with CAUTIs following the in-dwelling procedures.

This objective allows the practitioners to examine the effectiveness of the adopted frameworks and approaches in handling patient needs considering the bundle of care for those undergoing indwelling catheter treatment procedures (Peterson, 2020).

Rationale

This project will promote social justice since the practitioners will focus on a unified and reliable intervention for managing patient needs. On the same note, the findings will provide the clinical stakeholders with the ideal framework for approaching consumer demands considering patient health interventions and autonomy in practice (Campbell, 2020). Focusing on evidence-based interventions will allow practitioners to deliver value according to the arising patient needs and demands, promoting social justice.
