Compliance Program (Part III) The program will be developed in Modules 2 – 4. More specifically, there will be three components to the compliance program, as outlined below: • • • Part I: Prevention (Module 2) Part II: Detection (Module 3) Part III: Response (Module 4) The following paragraphs outline requirements for Part III: Response, which is due in Module 4 of the course. Part III: Response The Response section of the report should identify steps the company/organization will take in the event of a potential fraud or case of misconduct. Specifically, the section should have subsections that identify (1) the investigation process, (2) policies for corrective behavior, and (3) a policy statement regarding the company’s potential use of settlement agreements. Note that you are not trying to explain why a company would do these things, but rather are actually developing a response program for this particular organization (should be the same company used in Parts I, & II). To that end, it should link back to primary fraud risks associated with the company and/or its primary business/business model, as well as the organizational position statement on fraud/fraudulent activities from the executive summary as well as prevention methods. In total, the Response Section (not including title page and any references needed, etc.) should be 1-3 single spaced pages. The Response Section should be formatted as a professional memo report. A sample format guide is provided to show how to format this (as well as other) assignments for the course. Please keep the submission in line with this format guide.
