Instructions There are a number of different ways to measure your personality
Instructions There are a number of different ways to measure your personality. Each brings its own things to the table. You may consider some a bit flaky, but chances are that there’s a personality test out there that when you read the description of the type you fall into you’ll find that it’s insightful (perhaps more insightful than you’d like). For this to have any meaning at all you’ll HAVE to answer as honestly as you can. I want you to specifically mention four letter Jung personality type and examine each dimension. Does that describe you well? Because of the personal nature of some of the tests you don’t need to discuss your specific results for the others, but you do need to discuss the tests themselves and how valid you thought the results were for each. Which test did you find the most insightful? The least? Why? Were the questions that made up each test meaningful or did they seem unrelated to its conclusions? Chances are that if you take these tests now and then take them again in ten years they will produce the same, so they tend to be highly reliable. I also want you to consider their validity. Write a paragraph on your impressions about each test. I only want good content, no filler or fluff. Don’t start your paper: “Personality tests can tell us a great deal about ourselves, but they can also…” Get right to the point. To do that you’ll need to discuss the questions that make up each test, your impression of your results for that test, how accurate it was, how valid you found it, whether you learned anything from it. Things like that. As I said, you don’t need to tell me what personality type each test said you were, but you do need to pull up the detailed description for your type and read over it carefully. Discuss how well it described you. For Jung, for example, click on your four letter type for a detailed description, including possible professions and professions to avoid. Is that accurate? What score did you give for the accuracy of each test? Keep in mind that there’s a difference between answering all the questions and answering all the questions well. Frankly if you do it accurately you probably won’t want to (although there is also a compatibility test you can do with others). If you just fly through it and make up answers then the assignment will be meaningless so TRY to do this properly. Go to www.similarminds.com , Click on the Personality Tests tab and go to the test archive to take these personality tests. Once you’ve taken them be sure to click on your type for a detailed description (where applicable, most have this): Listed under Jung Tests(I-E S-N F-T J-P) take the Short Test (60 items) Listed under Big 5/Global/SLOAN take the Short Test (50 questions) Listed under Right Brain/Left Brain take the Word Choice Test (25 words) Listed under Other Tests take the Freudian Inventory Test (36 questions) Keep in mind that while you can answer a question quickly, the key is instead to answer it well. It's also important to do that in a professional voice, so while I do absolutely allow leeway in individual expression do keep in mind that this is still a professional paper. In terms of length expectations, here's the description from the syllabus: These should be between one and a half and two full single-spaced pages (if possible try not to go over two and a half pages though). As always, try to go beyond simply stating an answer, but also give supporting details and examples to demonstrate that you understand the concept and how it relates to marketing. Please proof your work before submitting. As with all written assignments these will go through plagiarism software so please be careful to use only your own work.

Personality Tests
Jung Test
This short test under Jung Tests, has sixty items and is similar to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator's underlying theory. One answers these questions based on the accuracy of the statements. After submitting the test answers, results are displayed in three separate tables, namely MOTIV, Jung, Personality Disorder, and Enneagram. In these tables, some columns contain a person's average score and those of other people who have taken the test before. In my view, most questions or items in this test are meaningful and well related to the conclusions. Although some items such as number fifty-two asking "Some cultures don't mix well" appear confusing at a glance, they are related to the test results. Some of the results obtained from this test were incredibly accurate, and some were intriguing. The Jung type I was assigned is INFP which is highly accurate. This personality from the Myers-Briggs model results from the interaction of four basic dimensions Introversion, Intuition, Feeling, and Perception. According to Carl Jung, it means that I am perceptive, intuitive, and introverted. The results from this test describe my personality type accurately since I am more introverted, sensitive, and consider myself independent and creative. Moreover, the favored careers and disfavored ones suggested by these results are accurate as they include two careers I would like and two that I do not admire. Although I did not learn anything new about myself from this test, it was interesting to know new careers that might favor my personality type. In my view, the accuracy of this test is very high, and I would give it a 4.5/5 score for accuracy.
SLOAN Test
The short test under SLOAN tests has 50 items that require a person to gauge how accurate they are. In my view, most of the questions in this test are related to the results. However, some questions such as number 17 and number 32 appear to be repetitions. The test is intriguing as it is centered mainly on how a person views themselves or how they imagine others view them, which is similar to the looking-glass self-concept. The results from the Big Five test are very intriguing and relatively accurate. This test measures five distinct personality dimensions: curiosity, extroversion, accommodation, orderliness, and emotional stability. Across the five personality dimensions, the test indicated that my score was average moderately low. These results had some intriguing suggestions for each dimension's results of how I react at times. Some of these suggestions, such as being quiet, private, overly flexible, and reliable, describe me, while some, such as overly selfish, scattered, and overly small-minded, are inaccurate. Further, the favored and disfavored professions suggested from the personality type assigned were also intriguing. It was also interesting to learn of the personality items related to my personality type. Although not very accurate, this test was interesting as it helped me think of how unrelated and minute details can be used to form a person's profile with high degrees of accuracy. Generally, I would give this test an accuracy score of 3/5 as some of the suggestions and conclusions are not ideal for my personality type and preferences. I found this test the most insightful. It had various results and conclusions, which helped me understand myself and my personality and how they impact my reactions and behavior.
Right Brain/Left Brain Test
The Right-Left Brain Test that comprises 25 items requires someone to choose a position that shows where they are between pairs of words. I found this test interesting as it required choosing where one thinks they lie between two opposing character types, for example, divergent and convergent. The brain lateralization results were also interesting as they show someone's dominant brain hemisphere. According to these results, right-brain dominant people behave and carry themselves differently from left-brain dominant. In my view, these results and conclusions are reasonably accurate and describe me perfectly. It was interesting to learn that right dominant types are scatterbrained and suffer from having several solutions to problems, while left-brained individuals are narrow-minded and have limited solutions. An interesting thought that arose from this test is how advantageous it could be if a marketer could predict a customer's preferences by knowing their dominant brain hemisphere. For instance, a marketer involved in lifestyle marketing could benefit by grouping prospects or targets according to their dominant brain hemispheres and creating targeted campaigns that resonate better with both types. Generally, I would rate the accuracy of this test at 3/5 as its conclusions are intriguing and relatively accurate.
Freudian Inventory Test
The Freudian inventory test has 36 items that gauge a person's personality across the five stages of development proposed by Sigmund Freud. This test comprises questions that aim to establish how a person acts, feels, or thinks in general. To answer the question items, one has to choose on a scale, from wildly inaccurate to very accurate, how accurately a statement describes them. The results from this test show percentage of someone's development in a particular stage that is affiliated with a personality trait. For instance, the oral stage is linked to dependence, while the anal stage is linked to self-control. The conclusions from these test results are accurate as they define my character and personality, although not entirely. It was also interesting to learn how various stages of development can impact someone's character and behavior even during adulthood. In general, the score I would give to this test for accuracy is 2/5. This test was the least insightful since most of the results that this test gave were in the form of a range between two personality possibilities which is somewhat ambiguous. Additionally, some of the personality items and traits suggested under the results' dimensions seem farfetched and can result from other circumstances.
