The paper shall examine the best cities where a new college graduate shall find them easier to work in and start a family. The ranking metrics of the cities assigned equal amounts of weights with exceptions of the averages for Yelp ratings for restaurants and the Yelp bar ratings. We took the averages of the rankings from the three categories. For every category, the city that has got the highest average ranking was awarded 100% while the one with the lowest was awarded 0%. The final ranking was gotten by calculating the cities’ average score from all the categories. The research is based on the following three categories:

  1. Bobs – for the job score, the overall unemployment rate is analyzed over the rate at which the bachelors are employed, the earnings they get, and the available job listings. The data is obtained from a one-year American survey by the American Census Bureau of the year 2019 while the overall unemployment rate is as per 2021 obtained from the Labor Statistics Local Area
  2. Affordability – The score is centered on the monthly median rent of the city as well as the living cost. The number of the median rent was obtained from the Census Bureau conducted in the year 2019. The numbers of the cities as per the cost of living were obtained from the MIT wages calculator as per 2021 March.
  3. Fun – For this score, we dug at how dining and entertainment are established and concentrated, the population’s age percentages from 20 years old to 29 years old, and the Yelp scores of bars and restaurants and this information was obtained from the Census Bureau of 2018 that represents restaurants and bars representing a percentage of all the restaurants and bars.
