Identifying Personal and Professional Skills

Skills are the ability to perform a task to perfection. Skills are gained through work or life experiences or by learning. One should practice and be dedicated to perfect their skills. Skills help one to improve their work and personal performances help one to improve their ability to tackle difficult issues. Additionally, skills help improve communication as well as comply with rules and regulations, (2021).

From the worksheet, my first top skills are helping skills. Helping skills help one to be an active listener which makes one understand people better. This skill also helps one to work with a group thus learning new ideas. Additionally, helping skills helps one to counsel people and advising them accordingly. Counselling also helps understand different kinds of people with different behaviors. Moreover, these skills help when advocating for people and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.

My second skills are communication and teaching. This is because these skills help in public speaking and conversing. They help when educating the public on the right things to do and how to achieve goals in life. Moreover, teaching skills aid in training and coaching the young generation on ways to improve themselves and their communities. Having communication and teaching skills gives one a chance to be a leader of their groups.

My third top skill is leadership skills. Leaders work with little or no supervision. This is because leaders are those people look up to. Leaders define objectives for the groups they are leading as well as simplify difficult problems. Having leadership skills also helps to prioritize and categorize the most important tasks. Leadership skills also help one to revise their goals, recommend the best, and can take responsibility.
