Plagiarism and Copying
Do not represent the work of others as your own. It is a serious academic offence.
Never quote or use an idea from another author without citing that person’s work. The research paper must represent your own research/writing. It should be wellresearched, well documented, and cited where appropriate. Use proper referencing of your sources and use the APA style. The most important thing is to be consistent and provide all information necessary for your reader to find the sources that you refer to and verify your points.
Please include a complete Bibliography.
You MUST conduct your own research outside of the class PowerPoint presentations. You MUST use at least 4-6 sources outside of the class PowerPoint presentations (e.g.: case law, textbooks, journal articles, newspaper articles, blogs, etc.). You can use your Martin’s Annual Criminal Code as a starting point for your research.
DO NOT copy and paste from the class PowerPoint presentations and other sources. This is plagiarism and you will LOSE marks.
