BQB7005 Project Management Professional Development
Assignment Question (INDIVIDUAL) 20 Marks
You are required to prepare and complete an assignment of a project case study report focusing on your industrial sector in your country of origin related to the project management knowledge area assigned to you (see Appendix).
For example, if you are a Saudi Arabian who have been working in the oil and gas sector and you had been assigned to the knowledge area of project schedule management in the Appendix, then you should write a case study report on schedule management in an oil and gas project in Saudi Arabia – in relation to the 2017 Sixth Edition of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Your project case study report should provide sufficient information to motivate critical, analytical and reflective learning, illustrate concepts and provide rigorous discussion in a short length (4,500 words) ‘experience-sharing’ case format. Illustrative, descriptive and analytical cases are acceptable. Although field-based (upon primary research that include fieldwork, interviews and internal company data) cases are preferred, your case may be based on secondary sources. However, your case must be original and factual, in that, it uses real people, real projects, real identities, real companies, real-life business/management situations, real incidents, real events, real phenomenon, and so on. Fictional cases are rejected and are not deemed appropriate for this assignment. Your project case study report must be written in the past tense, except for direct quotes. Support your case study research write-up with references from relevant articles in refereed journals (published in the last 5 years, from 2017-2021) and appropriate evidence. Prior to submission on deadline, the full document must be thoroughly proofread in Grammarly at: https://www.grammarly.com. Results of your Turnitin Report must show less than 10% similarities with Internet/Web sources.
Your assignment of the project case study report is intended for submission as a chapter in an edited project management casebook for publication by a local university press. The report shall be written in about 4,500 words – references, graphs, illustrations, tables and figures included.
Formatting: Times New Roman, 12; Double-Spacing; Follow APA Style; Margin all-round 2.54cm; Justified text
