God loves you so much He sent His Son to die for you. It’s because of God’s love for you and your recognition of Christ’s sacrifice for you that you are saved.
We often fall into this crazy pattern of believing that if we act a certain way or refrain from saying certain things, God will love us more, and we will find the fulfillment of salvation. That mindset is as crazy as trying to lift an entire truck with your bare hands! When we let our actions determine our relationship with God, all we will ever see is failure. When we let God take control and accept His mercy in saving us from sin we could never get rid of ourselves, we will find fulfillment.

Our life as humans is mainly centered around the achievement of what we want. In our quest to achieve this personal fulfillment, we create certain convictions based on the belief that by acting in a certain way, doing certain things, or refraining from saying certain things, we will find favor in God and the fulfillment that comes with salvation. However, this conviction only leads us into losing ourselves and God-given purpose. One of the critical areas in my life that I am trying to control is surrendering my worries to God and letting Him take control of my life. This has always been especially difficult for me because, at the core of the act of surrendering, it requires being vulnerable, letting go of my plans, and allowing God to guide every aspect of my life. However, surrendering and giving my life to God so He can take care of everything for me is equivalent to finding salvation and fulfillment. It equates to developing an excellent relationship with Him and understanding that our actions (however bad we feel or think they are) do not determine our relationship with God.
God intends that we not only merely subsist but also enjoy the abundant living that comes with our relationship with Him. In the words of Apostle Paul, ‘God saves us not because we are righteous in our deeds, but because He is merciful’ (Titus 3:4-5). Therefore, as a Christian, I strive to better my relationship with Him, even when I feel insecure, beat-up, or inundated with stressful concerns in life.
There have been many instances when I turned to Jesus to work out my relationship with Him. This has always been important because I believe my faith and trust in God are rewarded with spiritual love, strength, peace, and knowledge. Being prayerful also energizes me and allows me to open up to God to let Him in my life.
