For our first Module 1 discussion board (DB 1), discuss the following with your classmates, remember 35 you are required to post an initial thread with your responses and thoughts so that other classmates can then respond to you. You want to engage early and often on all module discussions: 
1. In our first module readings, we had 5 major challenges that face managers today. Select the 2 or 3 that you see as the most important or that you have had experience with and share with the class why you see this challenge as a priority and how it impacts organizational results. 
2. We explore 3 broad skill areas for managers - technical, conceptual and decision skills, and interpersonal and communication skills. Share an example of a skill in each of the 3 areas and where you see your strengths and weaknesses. 
3. Throughout our class we will be exploring the competitive advantages that managers can use to help organizations be successful. Discuss these 5 sources of competitive advantage and again which ones you have had experience with and the context of that experience.
