Summative Assessment:

The assessment for this module is based on an assigned case study where you produce an essay (Word document) covering two key areas in your critical analysis.

Part A of the assessment is 30% weighted on a 1000-word critical analysis of management processes based on the case study (MLO 1, 2, 7) and Part B is a 70% weighted 2500-word critical analysis of internal and external challenges based on the case study analysis (MLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Summative assessment will meet all the learning outcomes and will be submitted at the end of the module.

The case study is attached to the Assessment Section on the Module Blackboard site.

In addition to the generic level 7 University marking criteria (see end of Module Guide) and correct use of the required referencing format and style, the specific criteria is:

Part A - 30% Weighted ECA Critical Analysis of Management Processes based on the Case Study: (MLO 1,2,7)

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts discussed during the module;

Evidence of wider reading and research;

The ability to develop an argument and critically reflect on alternative debates and thinking.

Part B - 70% Weighted ECA Critical Analysis of Internal and External Challenges based on the Case Study: (MLO 1,2,3,4,5,6)

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts discussed during the module;

Evidence of wider reading and research;

The ability to apply the tools and techniques introduced during the module to the case study.

The essay, with the two separate sections to cover the split as identified above, should be submitted electronically as separate WORD DOCUMENTS using the ‘Assessment’ option (part-A and B) on blackboard. The deadline for submission is by 4pm, Monday, 9th May 2022.

Reassessment Strategy.

Where the submitted work fails to achieve the minimum required percentage mark to ‘pass’ the module (50%) then the reassessment is as the original brief - make good and re-submit.

The reassessment approval will be given by an Academic Board.
