Lannister Group, through its subsidiary companies is also into travel and tourism, event management, and marketing services. Tywin Lannister is the present Chief Executive Officer (CEO). His only son and heir apparent, 18 years old Joffrey Lannister recently died in an air crash.
Tywin has now decided that his successor would have to be someone outside of his family. As the CEO's position was always held by family members there has been neither internal competition nor grooming of other managers at King’s Landing Hotels for the CEO spot resulting in a deficiency of internal candidates. With the support of the Board, Tywin has hired an external firm to lead the search process for his successor, which would consider candidates both inside and outside the company. The external firm is entrusted with maximizing opportunities and creating a multi-generational institution that embodies the founder’s mission and values long after he is gone.
