Much bigger, but not quite the double.

The federation of Russia is the largest country in the world. It measures 17 million square kilometers. The United States is third (after Canada) with 10 million square kilometer. A few years ago, before the breaking up of the USSR (Union of the Socialist Sovietic Republics) in 1991, of which Russia was the largest member, the country was even bigger : withh 22.5 million square km. The next largest countries of the world are China and Brazil.
