Monomers are the building unit of any type of molecule. The word monomer means building unit. Polymers means many building units being connected together, so it is basically the complex molecule in the group. for example the monomers in the group of molecules is the amino acids as they are the building units, and the polymers are the polypeptides as they are made from connecting many amino acids together.
