The normal resting heart rate for an 18 year old male is 60 - 100 beats per minute.

Finding the resting heart rate is as easy as finding the carotid artery in your neck, or the radial artery in your wrist. After you've found the artery, count the beats that come from the artery within a time span of 20 seconds. Once you have your count of beats after 20 seconds, multiply your answer by two then you have your resting heart rate.
