I did not know that breastfeeding could prevent pregnancy. I would have never even thought of it being a contraceptive before today. I always thought it was a healthier choice for the child and helped women lose weight after giving birth. I noticed that it is only a temporary contraceptive but it can be effective if done correctly. 

I had never heard of a Birth Control Sponge before and even though they are making it sound safe, it sounds painful. Usually, anything you insert into your vagina has the potential of getting stuck. But that could be why the effective percentage is so low. 

I find it interesting that the cost for sterilization and a vasectomy is very different. I understand that the woman carries the baby but she has to have help from the man. It is a $5000 difference between the two which I understand but not to that extent.
