Deciding what career to choose is a challenging decision. You are essentially choosing what you want to do for the majority of your life. I have a couple of suggestions that might help with your confusion. The first suggestion is utilizing an assessment called FOCUS-2. This is an online source that is self-guided and helps you understand what interests, values, and skills you possess. With that information they then match those results with HCC majors along with a variety of occupations that meet your interests. This whole assessment is at your own pace and it helps you identify new and unique occupations/degrees you may have never heard of. The other suggestion I have for for you is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). This is a widely used tool that helps understand your personality and compares it to other individuals. They also look at how your personality correlates to multiple occupations. There are some things we still don't know about ourselves so this tool helps us better understand that. Both of these assessments are found online but if you would like to talk to an individual in person about this situation, then I have a couple of resources for you. I would recommend going to the advising office and talking to an advisor. Advisors can help you see what progress you have made and what other majors/courses you can take that better suit you. Another resource I would recommend is the Learning Assistance Center. We all need extra help with certain courses here and there.
