Marriage and Families differ for many reasons.In the text they talk about the transitional family which is the brides parts married straight out of college and the father is the bread winner and the mom stays home to tend to the child. The other family is the grooms parents divorced when he was a kid and the mom was struggling with finances, than came along the live-in boyfriend. Who his mom later married when he was a teenager and was a helping hand to him getting a job. The last couple was a same sex couple with an adopted daughter , a family business and plan on having a civil union in Washington later on in the year
