The purpose of this assignment is for students to learn how to apply Operations Forecasting.

Assignment Steps 

Resources: Microsoft® Excel® , text chapter 18

1. Write a brief APA paper to analyze and comment on the forecasting system being used by Fork and Hoe. Suggest changes or improvements that you believe are justified.

2. Determine if the 4 years of demand data indicate an ANNUAL trend.

3. Develop an ANNUAL forecast for bow rakes for year 5.

4. Determine if the 4 years of demand data indicates MONTHLY seasonality. If so, illustrate how you make the adjustments to your year 5 forecast.

5. Use Exhibit 18.3 in the text to determine your forecasting technique.

6. Develop a MONTHLY forecast for each month of year 5. Use MS Excel. Justify your forecast by showing your work.

Include an Excel spread sheet or include the Forecasting information with the paper to illustrate the details of your orecasting method.
