Comparing CIA vs CIAAN how would to respond to this below write-up?

From a layman's perspective, I feel you can incorporate authenticity and non-repudiation as terms for both of these groups. I view these concepts to be different aspects and perspectives of the same industry and should complement each other rather than compete or replace.

Principles should be easily understood and speak to a broad audience which I believe the CIA does. Parker's six elements, in my opinion, are concepts supporting industry-specific perspectives defining a way to perceive elements of information security. Terms like authenticity and non-repudiation originate from other industries but used in new ways within information security to convey an even deeper understanding. I believe that is the end goal, a shared understanding and perspective for efficient and effective communication, collaboration, and implementation. So, not why or why not? I say, why not all?

Creating, establishing, and evolving any national (global) industry standards is no easy task, right? Whether or how these ideas and principles get added or combined should reflect the best practices of said industry. The rapid pace of information security technology requires society to be vigilant in making these important decisions and distinctions. As I have learned from standards such as accounting, project management, and process improvement, the evolution never does, nor should it end. I trust the industry professionals in society to make the decisions that provide the best clarity and direction for where the technology is leading us.

Answer:

CIA stands for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability essentials necessary assured in the security system.  Authenticity (reinforces integrity) and Non-Repudiation (reinforces integrity) are significant in any kind of a secure system as security continue to advance; hence producing CIAAN.

Step-by-step explanation

Yes, we can incorporate authenticity and non-repudiation as terms instead of forming s different branch. Authenticity ensures that details, documents, transactions, data, and communication are genuine. It guarantees that involved parties are originals and no personification. On the other hand, Non-Repudiation is attained via cryptographic methods that prevent parties or people from denying having done a specific deed linked to obligation proof or data, commitment, intent, or possession proof. Having both CIA and CIAAN understanding these primary knowledge, then two can work harmoniously rather than competing. Principles guide any security system. The additional terms: authenticity and non-repudiation, for sure, gives profound understanding to the basic of CIA.

non-repudiation, for sure, gives profound understanding to the basic of CIA.

However, not all people may understand these. Instead, the majority may assume the CIA does not adopt authenticity and non-repudiation or have little concern about them. CIAAN will, therefore, be preferred over CIA. But the CIA system can still incorporate authenticity and non-repudiation even if the terms are not contained in their abbreviation.
