For this assignment, you will find a scholarly, peer-reviewed article about one of the short stories we have read in class and write an annotation for it (300 words max). In this annotation, you will explain the article's conversation and thesis. Additionally, you will select a sentence you think is meaningful and quote it. You will elaborate on why this quotation is relevant to the overall thesis, and explain why the source is significant for a particular area of research. You will use the MLA style format that has been sent to you in the word document to write this assignment The goal of this assignment is to have students engage with academic writing and also write about it, paraphrasing and quoting appropriately. For this assignment, I want students to integrate the quotation(s) properly, and provide an appropriate works cited. Lectures and notes will be made available in advance on these topics. You can search for peer-reviewed sources specifically by using the Carleton website. Submissions in .pdf only.
