Case study & Conceptual Model application (combined): Logic Model of Change
 

This week’s case study will provide practice interpreting the theory behind an existing public health intervention. You will read an article and construct a Logic Model of Change from the article's text.

Instructions:

1. Locate a peer-reviewed article about a theory-based public health intervention of any kind.
2. In a new Google Doc, compose a 2-page double-spaced synthesis of the article. First, read and briefly summarize the article's background, methods, results, and conclusions using your own language (max 1 page double-spaced). Include an APA citation and web link to the articl
3. Then, using Google Drawing as usual, construct a Logic Model of Change based on the intervention which clearly connects the health problem, behavioral and environmental influences, and individual determinants of those influences on the health problem. Clearly identify which part of the Logic Model the intervention in the article seeks to change. The article may not clearly lay this out for you; you may have to interpret what the authors describe in order to fill in each box.
