Research Applications Outline

Write an outline discussing the research principles found in the assigned reading and their application to research in human resources. Include the following in the outline::

• The goals of research in HR

• A comparison of the applications of primary and secondary research

• An explanation of how reliability and validity are used and why they are important to human resource research

   

  Format the outline using the classic: Roman numerals for the main topic, Capital letters for subtopics, and small letters for sub-subtopics or a similar format. Write an outline using full sentences rather than just a word or fragment; each topic or subtopic should have a maximum of two sentences. Write in third person. watch for the imperative mode of verbs because it is in second person and should not be used in your assignments. Example: Train, Take, Do, Review, etc This implies (you) train, (you) take, (you) do, (you) review. It is fine to say, "managers should: train, evaluate, review, etc." but it is wrong to say: Train, Evaluate, Review, etc. The outline does not require to be supported with research or references, but you may do so.

   The assignment is to submit an outline.
