1)   Pick a product or service and list issues that need to be considered in its design and manufacture. The product can be something like a stereo, telephone, desk, kitchen appliance, home remodeling, tax services, car maintenance, etc... Consider the functional and aesthetic aspects of design as well as the important concerns for manufacturing.  What types of costs are involved? Consumer sentiment to be considered? The intent is to put ourselves in a position many organizations find themselves in when a product or service is in the introduction or early growth phase of the product life cycle.

2.     Read the Ikea: Design and Pricing case on pages 68-71 from the text book  "Operations and Supply Chain Management" by F. Robert Jacobs and Richard B. Chase. It’s the 14th Edition. The ISBN is 978-0-07-753517-9”.  Then complete the 4 questions below.  Your paper should be in APA format and your references should be in APA format as well.  The length of your submission is based on what you feel it takes to fully answer the questions. I will post pages 68-71 from the text book for you to read if you don’t get the text book.
