e-Portfolio Assignment 1: Work Plan

This week's e-Portfolio assignment is to construct and represent a complete, succinct, and easy to understand work plan for your program.

 

  1. Find the "How We Will Do It" page in your e-Portfolio template (sub-page under "Program Plan").
  2. Edit the page to include the following: 
    1. A summary of the work plan that includes your objectives, the activities you'll undertake to achieve the objectives, and inputs and outputs needed.  This can look like a program logic model or another type of description. 
    2. Identify measures of success of your program plan 
    3. If you provided a visual diagram, add annotation beneath your image to explain its contents
    4. Use this sample high-level timeline to create a 2-year timeline for the activities involved in your work plan. Add rows as needed to reflect the activities over your two years.

e-Portfolio Assignment 2: Resources (Budget)

 

  1. Find the "Resources" page in your e-Portfolio template (sub-page under "Program Plan")
  2. Use the sample budget worksheet provided by the Missouri Health Department from this week's readings and create a 2-year budget for your program, following these parameters outlined in the RFP: 

 

Proposals may request a budget of up to $250,000 total for a project duration of up to 24 months. Administrative costs up to 10% of the total budget are allowable. An in-kind match of 5% is required and may be in the form of cash, personnel, equipment, or goods and services. 

It is recommended that proposals allocate at least 10% of the total budget to evaluation and dissemination activities in order to facilitate the sharing of findings and lessons learned with other communities. Funding may not be used for lobbying or capital improvements.

 

 

 

3. You may make assumptions about salaries, but they must be plausible. The 5% in-kind match means that your organization must provide resources representing a cost of 5% of the total award as a way of sharing the cost of the program with your funder. 

4. Edit your page to include a complete budget and a justification for the resources needed. Your budget and justification text should reflect all the resources needed in order to carry out the program activities.
