Only approval needs to be done not the whole assignment
Completion of this comprehensive examination provides evidence that the student has integrated the content from core and specialty courses as well as CNL competencies. This scholarly poster demonstrates synthesis of the master’s degree experience including:
- interrelationships of concepts within nursing practice
- knowledge and use of theoretical/conceptual bases related to clinical practice in a variety of health care settings
- knowledge of the research process and the application of evidence-based practice to nursing and/or health problems
- the ability to synthesize materials, organize thoughts, and present them in a clear and scholarly manner.
The comprehensive examination-scholarly poster is separate from assigned course work.
Students will have an opportunity to showcase their scholarly work in a CNL Summit poster session at semester end.
Guidelines:
The examination is designed to offer wide latitude for topic selection. The chosen topic should address a quality and safety issue or patient outcome concern that is relevant to CNL practice and for which evidence is available in the literature.
To begin this process:
- Review these guidelines including all critical due dates.
- Open the community blackboard page titled and familiarize yourself with the provided information and resources.
- From the left-hand menu- select Topic groups- and then select the general population area of interest for your topic. Using the format used in from pervious include tables in which you provide a critique of the strengths and weaknesses of each study.
