1. List:

• The principal and some possible secondary functions performed by a dishwasher.
• The inputs to the dishwasher
• The outputs from the dishwasher
• Constraints
• Identify the particular type of dishwasher you have in mind since the functions and constraints may differ from one type to another (e.g., freestanding, under the counter, etc.)

2. Develop the functional block diagram for this dishwasher.  Make sure you properly label all functions and the information which flows between the functions.  Also identify on the diagram both the source(s) of all dishwasher inputs and destination (i.e., end results) of the outputs.  Your diagram should fit on a single page.  Be neat and present an informative diagram that has a logical structure.
