The application will be specific to a leadership situation in which you are currently involved or have been personally involved in the past. Topic: High Turnover Rate at a Non-Profit Organization

Underlining Issues

My final paper addresses an observation of a non-profit organization's high turnover rate. This turnover rate happens most commonly on the entry levels only; however, this non-profit organization has experience turnovers from an executive level and down. This high turnover rate creates a continuous influx of leadership and the style in which the executive leads. I will narrate a mid-level employee who has experienced working in different roles within the organization—the cause and effect of poor leadership and management skills.

Plan

The plan in which I will attempt to address the high turnover rate from executive to entry-level employees.

·Initial step engagement with an independent consultant by the governing board( Board of Directors)

·Complete an analysis of the recruiting of executives, management, and entry-level

employees.

·Research the compliance policies in regards to employment within the organization

·Employ representatives such as unions or ombudsman.

·Wage adjustments( cost of living, performance, and education-based)

·Increase education level for direct care employees from a high school/ GED to at minimum an associated degree with job experience

·Coaching for all levels of employees, including the leadership

·Bi-annual executive training addressing employee relations

·360-degree multi-rater feedback- non-retaliatory behavior enforced

·Address the appropriateness of the At-Will employer.
