a. The example of a firm with a broad scope is TATA industries because it operates in many fields ranging from coal and steel industries to fast-moving customer goods like salt. Similarly, Johnsons and Johnsons company operates in customer products to medical devices and pharmaceutical products.

b. The example of a firm with a narrow scope is the Amul industries of India which only focuses on making the milk products only. The second example is of ParleAgro Industries in India which focuses on making confectionary items like biscuits and soft drinks.

c. The example of a firm that started narrow and became broader is Reliance industries which started from the telecom industry and expanded its business to the energy sector.

Similarly, the second example is of TATA industries which moved from the coal industry to the automobile industry.
