Compare and contrast strategic controls and financial controls

• Strategic control manages the overall planning and decisions of the business organization; whereas, financial control only focuses on financial issues of the organization.
• Strategic control is affected by internal and external business factors; whereas, financial controls are affected by internal factors of business organization.

An example in which both can be used to serve the corporation:

Suppose a firm has to make a new product. Strategic planning will include planning the process of production, researching market, advertising strategies on the other hand financial control will only focus on the costs of each step involved in strategic operations. Both will work simultaneously for the betterment of organization.

As a strategic leader, it will be a moral duty to develop human capital because strategic leaders are responsible for creating management strategies and ensuring proper production in the business unit. Strategic leader identifies talent and skilled employees and recruit them for the organization. He also develops skilled of existing employees with the help of innovative ideas, training and empowering the workforce.
