Briefly explain the following about problems of marketing in developing economies: a

a. If a developing economy has a lack of or inadequate infrastructure, this can significantly impact the marketing strategy for that company. The company must account for the fact that the infrastructure could limit the ability of potential customers to access their products. In addition, the company may have difficulties transporting their products to customers.

b. In a situation where competitive opportunities are few, a marketing department should consider how to compete with the few competitors that are present. The marketing strategy should focus on how best to differentiate the company's products from the other few competitors.

c. If the developing economy has political instability and/or civil unrest, the marketing department needs to take these into consideration. Contingency plans should be created for how to adjust the marketing approach if there is a change to the political arena that could adversely impact the company.

d. If a developing economy is dealing with over-regulation of business by government, the company will need to adapt its regulations to meet the government's requirements. If these regulations aren't taken into consideration, the company will have difficulty in progressing their marketing strategy and will find that their path is obstructed by the government.
