Countertrade refers to a kind of trade in international market where a country's products and services are bartered with other products and services instead of money. This kind of trade is usually used by developing countries as they may have more resources but limited financial capacity. This allows countries with limited financial capacity to acquire necessary goods and services which are not available in their local market.
