1.

You are working on a presentation for the new passive solar division of Fractal

Source Solar, a solar energy design company. Start by formatting Slide 1

(“Fractal Source Solar”) as follows:

a.

C

hange

the title font color to

Red, Accent 2, Darker 25%

(6

th

column,

5

th

row of the Theme Colors palette).

b.

Change the subtitle font size to

24 pt.

2.

On Slide 2 (“Passive Solar Is Active Energy”),

create a bulleted list in the content

placeholder with the following text

:

Warm in winter

Cool in summer

Effective by design

3.

On Slide 3 (“How It Works”), proportionally resize the picture so that it is

approximately

3.44"

wide, and then use Smart Guides to position the picture as

shown in Figure 1 below.

Figure 1: Size and Position of the Slide 3 Picture

4.

Duplicate Slide 3 so it becomes the new Slide 4, and then edit the new Slide 4

as follows:

a.

On the new Slide 4, change the slide title to the following:

Considerations

b.

On Slide 4, change the bulleted list to the following:

Climate

Path of sun

Latitude

5.

On Slide 5 (“Low-Energy Design”), change the slide layout to

Title and

Content

.

6.

With Slide 5 still displaying,

bold

the words “Reduced maintenance” in the

second bullet point to emphasize the benefit.

7.

On Slide 6 (“Solar Building Has Been Around a Long Time”), create a multilevel

bulleted list in the right content placeholder with the following text:

Chinese

Solar for 6,000 years

Romans

Used glass to trap heat

Ancient Pueblo Indian cliffs

8.

After Slide 6, insert a new Slide 7 using the

Section Header

layout. Enter

Create a Sun Plan

in the title placeholder, and then enter

Concepts

in the

text placeholder.

9.

Move Slide 8 (“Free Webinar”) so it becomes the last slide in the presentation.

10.

On the new Slide 8 (“Retrofit Ideas”),

italicize

the text in the second bullet

point (“Throw some shade”) to draw attention to this suggestion.

11.

With Slide 8 still displaying, in the right content placeholder, insert the picture

from the file

Support_SC_PPT16_1b_Interior.jpg

, available for download from

the SAM website.

12.

Apply the

Uncover

transition with a duration of

00.25

seconds to all slides in

the presentation.

13.

Fractal Source Solar wants to make it easy for reviewers to concentrate on the

text and content. Apply the

Office

theme to simplify the presentation.

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following

page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and then exit PowerPoint. Follow the
