Final Paper Assignment  Outline / Research - Part 1 of 2

This is a 2 part assignment.  For the first part, submit a Word document to this assignment dropbox that answers the following questions.  You can create an outline format or use complete sentences.  Make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors.

This will serve as an outline / research / preparation for your final paper.

You will then write a paper based on this outline for Part 2.  Part 2 will be due with the final module, but you will be able to start working on this after you complete this outline.  

10 points 1) What industry will you be researching/writing about?  Please choose a specific company in the industry to write about and list the name, location, industry, owners, etc.  Choose one that is either within your area of study in school (major) or one in which you wish to work/open a business in after graduation.

10 points 2) What methods will you use to gather your information?  If you know of a person working in your industry as an entrepreneur or someone who works at the company you chose, talking to them would be a great tool.  You may also use current articles on the internet or in business publications for your research.  List at least 5 possible resources.

20 points 3) List 10 questions that will you be answering in your final paper.  I have listed some sample questions below.  Feel free to use these as a starting point and then come up with some of your own.

10 points 4) Conduct some initial research about how the corona pandemic is affecting businesses in your industry.  List 5 things that you learned during your research.

Sample research questions:

• Is your industry being hurt financially by the coronavirus pandemic?  Why or why not?
• How many employees work at the company?  How many are laid off currently?
• What type of government assistance/federal aid  is currently being offered to companies in your industry?
• What messages has your company released to it's customer base regarding the pandemic?
• Are customers/clients still able to use the business services?  How have things changed in obtaining these services? 
• Is your company advertising currently?  More/less than before the pandemic?  How has the message changed?
• Does the business expect to rebound from the pandemic if it has been damaged financially?
• In what ways will your company be permanently changed moving forward after the pandemic ends?
