Karla is in charge of reception at Two Tricks, a magazine company. There are two receptionists, one is a trainee. The following issues are raised at the meeting relating to Karla's style of supervision.

  • The trainee complains that she is not getting enough time to complete her traineeship. Every time she organises some time away from her workstation, Karla finds an excuse to call her back to the phone.
  • The other receptionist complains that Karla often takes over these tasks. Such as greeting people when they come into the office. He also says he doesn't get long enough for his tea breaks as he is often called back to do what he says are non-urgent tasks.
