Explain why the Credit Bureau was established under Bank Negara Malaysia and state the functions of this Bureau

Credit bureau was was established under Bank negara Malaysia. And operating since 1982.like other credit bureau in the world it is objective to collect credit related information of a person (company ,people or a firm) and provide it in the form of report to the lenders or Bank to make informed decisions about landing and credit worthiness of borrower.and to promote sounds credit culture among malasian.and suprevise and regulate financial system to make country financial system sound.

The function fo credit bureau are

1)to collect borrower credit history ,past borrowing and their repayment.

2)to prepare report on borrower financial behaviour and assign credit score to rank them as good/bad customer.

3)share this report with bank to make them informed decisions about landing and save them from any possible fraud.

4)to help bank to make robust fianace system and promote sounds credit culture in contact via credit score ranking.

5) regulate and supervise country financial system.

6) promote best credit management practices.,prodent credit policy and and professionalism amount the financial system in country.
