Something simple to set your knowledge about trespass and nuisance claims: Indicated if each situation is a trespass or nuisance.

And/or, write a new scenario or create a twist on one of these to challenge your classmates, or answer a classmate’s challenge.

• The neighbor’s livestock operation causes persistent and unpleasant odors at your house.
• The neighbor’s cattle wander on to your land.
• Your friend’s car breaks down at your house while she is visiting and it’s still there a week after you asked her to have it moved.
• The neighbor’s wind turbine causes a “flickering” shadow as the turbine spins when the morning sunlight shines into your bedroom window.
• The smoke from the neighbor’s field burning causes damage to your home.
• You discover beer cans and the remains of a fire pit on a secluded wooded area on your land. You suspect that the neighbor’s teenage kids and their friends had been there and left the debris (because your kids would never do that).
