Scenario:-You have just been hired as a technical consultant for the Globex Corporation. They produce and sell recycled paper products such as printer paper, cardboard boxes, and packaging material.

They currently have three sites in the western United States, but they would like to expand and open one sales office and one warehouse on the east coast. They hired you to develop recommendations for the design and purchase of all the technology equipment needed to bring the two new east coast sites online.

Current Configuration on the West Coast:Headquarters: Portland, Oregon

• Firewall with Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN Capabilities Installed
• Internet Service for Business, 940 Mbps Download/940 Mbps Upload
• Location of Primary Datacenter, Multiple Servers

Manufacturing and Warehouse: Seattle, Washington

• 10 Office employees, 90 Manufacturing and Warehouse employees

• Remote-Access VPN Client Licenses to Portland when needed

East Coast Requirements:

• Sales Branch office setup in Boston, Massachusetts
  • Expected 30 Office employees
  • Several employees relocating from San Francisco, tell you that in that office they always had trouble with the VOIP phones cutting in and out, and wanted to make sure they work properly in the new location
  • Need to be able to access application servers in Portland
• Warehouse Setup in Albany, New York
  • 5 Office Employees, 60 Warehouse employees
  • All office employees need to be able to access application servers in Portland
  • Adding another 5 office employees in 6 months, ensure network capacity for these 5 additional employees.
• Each new site should have a firewall and a router.
• Each new site should have enough network switch ethernet ports for all laptop, desktop, printers, Wireless Access Points, and VOIP phones. Assume each of these devices requires one ethernet port each.
• Each office employee should have a device to work on. Salesman at this company generally prefer laptops or tablets, but that is not a requirement.
• Sites should have sufficient WiFi access for office employees who have laptops or tablets, and enough for guest access as well.
• Warehouse employees should have a 1 phone and 1 desktop available per 10 employees
