Cloud computing services are made available through server firms or data centres. Cloud computing focuses on providing it as a service to the cloud users on-demand with greater flexibility, availability, reliability, and scalability with the utility computing model. This paper will focus on the AWS Cloud as the service providers, its benefits, risks, challenges, and its comparison with the traditional outsourcing models. Introduction Cloud Computing is generally the ability to deliver on-demand of computer services via the internet in a pay- as you go mode. There are several cloud providers. In this report, HP Cloud will be used to thoroughly analyse its workings and its features. Rackspace is one of the cloud providers that managed to host with cloud computing; through Rackspace, cloud customers can choose services including Cloud files, Cloud servers, Cloud sites, and Cloud load balancer. They manage their customer's IT infrastructure, saving the customers time and the expense of money (Ghosh and Sahoo, 2020, pp-1-8). Verizon Terremark is another cloud provider that uses the cloud switch technology to assist customers in integrating the on-premise IT infrastructure and the off-premise Terremarks Private Cloud. However, it possesses the following limitations to customers: it does not give an error once registered to a Terremark provider with a wrong password and username. Also, a provisioned virtual machine cannot be modified to different disk sizes (Jim, 2020). Salesforce is another cloud provider software company specializing in customer relationship management. They allow the business to connect with the customers, potential customers, and their partners via cloud technology use. Salesforce customers experience the following benefits, and they include accessibility, time management, team collaboration, account planning, and customer information. Despite the above advantages, Salesforce customers face the following disadvantages: expensive and implicit costs, and customization becomes a challenge, and limited deployment options (Ghosh and Sahoo, 2020, pp-1-8). HP Cloud is generally a set of computing Cloud services available from Hewlett- Packard that offers public Cloud, private Cloud, managed private cloud, and hybrid Cloud services. They deliver leading public infrastructure cloud, cloud solutions to developers and platform services. Enterprise organizations use the HP cloud to combine or mix various cloud computing environments composed of public and private clouds. It has multiple advantages to customers since it converges infrastructure, saving on time and reducing the cost. It also provides open standards. The HP cloud drive contains stored files inconvenient places, thereby saving storage spaces for the HP mini users. And it is less to sync, allowing one to choose how much to keep online using the HP cloud drive. HP cloud offers HP cloud recovery to their consumers (Jim, 2020). Advantages of Cloud Computing to Small and Medium Businesses Being a runner of a small or medium business, high chances are you rely on cloud computing to resolve most business challenges, whether it's firing emails or using the apps to help manage the workload. Cloud computing offers several benefits to small businesses together with medium-size companies. Some of the services include: small and medium companies have more flexibility to cloud computing. One can scale up or scale down the capacity cloud, which gives the business an advantage against competitors. It improves secondly, small and medium enterprises can easily access Cloud-based services for data recovery. It can be devastating for medium and small businesses to lose their data, not necessarily because of the files and data loss but also the money and time lost during their recovery. Cloud computing has brought relief to small businesses since they provide quick recovery of data for all disaster types. Thirdly small and medium enterprises can access subscribing services making cash flow much more accessible. Thanks to the rise of business-based model subscriptions, small and medium businesses do not need to outlay capital for the IT storage hardware or soft hardware, but rather, and they can pay as you go. This, in turn, eases up the setup and management (Salesforce. 2020). Cloud computing technology allows small and medium business employees to work from anywhere. Using an internet connection, one can work. This offers more flexibility to employees, increasing job satisfaction leading to increased productivity in the business. Small and medium enterprises can access document version control from cloud computing. Even small-oriented businesses experience complications example is a wrong version document. Still, cloud computing stores the files centrally, and everybody has a single source of access. This reduces errors enhancing better and healthier work relations. Cloud computing also offers enterprise-level data IT Security and governance. Small businesses are required to match the security of large companies in securing their customer's privacy and data. Cloud computing is now offering much greater control and safety to small and medium business customers' data, which was previously not achievable without the intervention and support of a third party. Cloud computing provides a competitive edge to small businesses. By medium and small companies making moves to Cloud, it means disruption in the market while being agile and lean. And all small businesses require to have a competitive advantage. Cloud computing also offers good sustainability for small and medium enterprises, which is crucial and highly important for the company's growth. The following companies' uses cloud computing and show us how vital and valuable the Cloud is. Netflix that runs on the AWS. It is accessible to most devices. Xeror, Instagram, Pinterest, Apple, Esty, and MediaMath all use cloud computing (Alfredo, 2016). Agilent Technologies is an example of medium-sized businesses that uses AWS cloud to store their diagnostic data to the cloud and recover the same data while manufacturing products such as chemicals required in the labs. The company has experienced flexibility and sustainability while using the AWS cloud that has proved to be an enormous benefit (Jennifer, 2017). Concerns Large Businesses Are Having While Using Cloud Computing Large businesses are facing various concerns in cloud computing. The first concern is security issues. Security threats have become a genuine concern and a reality to the organization. Large businesses and the implementation of a secure cloud BI tool are critical in leveraging proper security measures. The subsequent computing cloud risk and concern to large companies is the cost of containment and management. In Cloud, an organization or business can quickly ramp up the processing capability without making investments widely in new hardware. This increases the cost of administration and containment for large enterprises; however, conducting financial analysis and keeping management practice reporting can reduce costs. Another challenge and concern large businesses and organizations face in using cloud computing is the lack of expertise and resources. This is happening since cloud computing is rapidly evolving, and companies continuously place their workload to the Cloud. Due to this, businesses and organizations are experiencing a rough and tough time trying to keep up with the new tools. This challenge can be reduced by organizations and companies continuously training additional development and IT personnel (Mark, 2014). Large businesses and organizations are posing the governance and control challenge in using cloud computing. Proper IT governances ensure the IT assets are executed or implemented according to the agreed procedures and policies. But in the current Cloud-based world, IT is not always in control over provisioning and de-provisioning the operations of the infrastructure. This has made it increasingly challenging to provide the proper compliance, governance, data management quality, and risks. Another cloud-computing concern that large businesses and organizations in compliance are posing. Most companies face compliance with the industry's laws and regulations each time the company relocates or moves the data from internal storage to the Cloud. This increases compliance, but it can be reduced by cloud customers looking for vendors who can quickly provide the required compliance and check if the required legal needs regulate them (Jennifer, 2017). Large businesses and organizations are experiencing management problems of multiple clouds. The Multi-cloud state is exponentially growing. Therefore, companies and organizations combine and shift private and public shadows; this creates some difficulties in managing multiple clouds. The next concern that large businesses and organizations are facing is performance. When enterprises move or shift to the Cloud, it often becomes more dependent on the provided services. And in the moving of businesses to cloud computing, partnership expansion becomes a challenge. This also affects the company's performance since it is tied up to the performance of your cloud service provider, meaning when your provider is not doing well, you, in turn, will also not be doing well (Lores, 2020). Large businesses and organizations also have a building of private cloud concern in computer cloud. Creating a personal and internal Cloud can bring many significant benefits by having data and information in the house. Still, IT departments and the managers will require to face the building and the gluing altogether, which makes the exercising of moving or shifting to cloud computing rather tricky. Segmented adoption and usage are another concern being faced by large organizations and businesses in cloud computing. Benefits of Cloud Computing to Businesses Many benefits are offered to businesses while using cloud computing. Often it allows one to create or set- up virtual offices that provide one with the flexibility of continually connecting with one's business at all times and any place. When one moves their business to Cloud, they experience the following benefits. One of the benefits is reduced costs of IT. Instead of constantly buying new equipment and systems, you can use cloud computing resources, which reduces your cost of maintaining and managing the IT system. Also, the cost of operation may be reduced because the prices of new hardware's, system upgrades, and new software can be included in the contract, you are no longer required to pay your staff expert wages, the amount of energy consumed is reduced, that also reduces the cost, and there are often fewer delays in time. Scalability is another benefit experienced in businesses while using cloud computing. In this, your companies can scale up or scale down the operations together with the storage need allowing quick flexibility to your constant changing requirements. Since cloud computing can do it for you, it gives you more time to run your businesses (Business Queensland, 2020). Business continuation is another benefit experienced by businesses in the use of cloud computing. Protecting one's system and data is a very crucial and essential part of the business continuity plan. In crises, such as power failure, natural disasters, or any other form of problem, having one's data and information stored in the cloud ensures it is protected and backed up in a safe and secure location. Also, having the ability to access one's data quickly enables one to minimize downtime, conduct one's businesses as usual, and reduce productivity loss. Another critical benefit experienced by the company while using cloud computing is collaboration efficiency. In cloud environments, collaborating gives businesses the ability to share and communicate more outside the former traditional method. Suppose you are using a different location while working on a particular project. In that case, one could use cloud computing to provide employees, third parties, and contractors with similar access to the files. This promotes collaboration among all stakeholders involved (Business Queensland, 2020). The flexibility of work practices is another benefit experienced by businesses while using cloud computing. Cloud computing provides business advantages to both solutions providers, IT professionals, and enterprises. However, there are some risks to integrating a cloud computing solution into the business. Companies are doing their best to avoid these risks. Depending on its size and its uses, the specific cloud computing risks will be different from other companies. If the companies are not accountable for the risks, they increase in magnitude, resulting in their enormous problem (Mark, 2014). Information encryption at rest reduces this risk by ensuring the security of information. Even unauthorized data is stolen via unauthorized access. It also maintains compliance with the companies and government mandates such as DSS, HIPAA, PCI, and SOX. We also have two-factor authentication(2FA), which involves combining passwords with a second authentication element, such as a one-time password generated by a personal PIN. IT experts such as AWS can add a vital extra layer of security to their Cloud-hosted ecosystems. Remove shared accounts. Most companies rely on o the shared cloud platform from the providers with co-workers. Companies should ensure that their clouds are not be shared mainly to sustain accountability and preserve information integrity and auditability. Customers should insist on a well-defined shared responsibility model. Reciprocal and a well-defined shared responsibility covenant with cloud providers such as AWS cloud and Amazon is vital in mitigating the risks related to the cloud-hosted services. Businesses Negotiate A Stronger SLA to Mitigate Risks Th worldwide cloud adoption boom shows no signs of slowing down. As more companies continue to sign on the dotted line with an ever-increasing number and variety of cloud computing vendors from Saas and Iaas/PassS to Cloud MSPs, it is essential to ensure that cloud provider our case; AWS cloud makes an exemplary enterprise-level commitment to service and performance. That where the Cloud-Service level agreement or SLA is stabilized. AWS cloud as a provider is held accountable for the services they deliver to their customers. Some of the critical negotiation areas that businesses need to adapt to cloud SLA in controlling risks include. Uptime and support; implies the amount of time a service is available online, operational, and functional. The AWS cloud has set higher availability, resulting in higher costs, making most companies benefit from analysis and risk assessment regarding uptime. Companies should try to negotiate to a close as 99.99% as possible. In comparison, organizations shouldn't get hung up on uptime availability, while the word class on-premises operations should target to achieve 95-99.0% availability for their internally managed applications (Lores, 2020). As data breaches become paramount for IT organizations, security has become a much more critical SLA unit to be addressed. Companies should have a better understanding of the security measures to protect the data stored in the Cloud. Business should have had more excellent knowledge on termination of rights which is also known as exit clause. Companies should consider the following reasons for termination of their rights; frequent downtime, nonperformance, or inefficiency related to service delivery level, inability to deploy adequate skilled resources. Suppose the companies such as AWS cloud have asymptomatic failure in their services while they can't rectify them in 2-3 consecutive months of operation. In that case, businesses should consider contract termination and move to other services providers, google apps. A short outrage of a second can potentially lead to information loss and sales interruption from a business perspective. They are making it vital for AWS cloud and vendors to negotiate penalties in service unavailability (Alfredo, 2016). Similarities Between the Cloud Computing and Model Traditional Outsourcing Model Traditional outsourcing offers the company the advantage of minimizing its income by assigning works outside their local group. Technological development, server's virtualization is becoming increasingly more attractive to end-users. The rise of AWS Cloud computing may be an unstoppable necessity for survival for older, space-constrained plants that need the latest advancement in tools. This will also lead to secondary supervision and expert systems being moved to the AWS cloud as well. In the future, we will see more of these applications being migrated virtualized, giving more charges and space benefits to industry operators (Ghosh and Sahoo, 2020, pp-1-8). Conclusion AWS Cloud computing systems are a newly growing era of transferred computing. Virtualization in combination with the utility model can make a change in the company and the social dimension. The AWS cloud computing is still growing, but it's gaining its acceleration in the cloud computing industry. We also have other organizations such as Amazon, Windows Azure, and Google App competing with the AWS Cloud to provide the computing services. Businesses are also portraying increasing wants to indulge themselves in the cloud. Cloud computing is also applied in e-governance in developing countries. An example of a real-life example of AWS cloud use to small businesses or even personal subscriptions is storing emails and files to the cloud.
