You are at the midpoint of the course

Communications Oct 31, 2020

You are at the midpoint of the course. Reflect on what you have learned about Excel so far. What advice would you offer students who are just starting the class? What has given you the most difficulty so far and what have you found to be the easiest so far?

Expert Solution

Hello everyone,

One piece of advice I would give new students is to take their time throughout each lesson. More attention and time towards these lessons can help the students get more comfortable with performing certain tasks. Another thing I would recommend is to continuously practice until they feel confident about the function/tool they’re applying to a worksheet. Practice can help you become more familiar and even possibly enhance your memory when it comes to memorizing these tools. Personally the most difficult part for me is the formula proportion of Excel. There are many different formulas that can be created so the setup is extremely important. Some formulas I feel pretty good about while others I am still working on. The easiest thing for me has been applying specific formats to cells. I find this to be useful and time efficient.
