After reviewing the comprehensive plan and the community’s website answer the following questions in a paper/report format:

• Describe the community (use more sources than just the summary in the comp plan) giving us location, population, brief history, key economic and cultural features, etc.
• When was most recent version of the comprehensive plan created?
• What topics were included in the comprehensive plan (denoting which are required and which are optional)
• What are five of the key recommendations from the comprehensive plan? Why are these important to this particular community? Do you consider the strategies for implementation innovative? What other planning documents do they have in place to support the areas of focus?
• How is the community working regionally to accomplish the goals for the comprehensive plan?
• What forums for public process are available?
• How is the planning director inclusive of the various needs of the community and other interests?
• What are other hot button issues for the community that have not been addressed in the comprehensive plan?
