An annotated bibliography will be required from subject matter from Modules 5-8 (topics related to through socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, gender, and disabilities through focus on structural bias, social inequities and racism) (Competency D2-2:6).  This annotated bibliography will be a list of 20 citations (5 on each topic) from peer-reviewed publications based on socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, gender, and disabilities.  Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 300-350 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.  For each annotation, you should discuss the means by which structural bias, social inequities and/or racism, depending on the topic presented, undermine health and create challenges to achieving health equity at organizational, community and/or societal levels. For annotated bibliographies, use standard APA format for the citations, then add a brief entry, including:

•            3 to 5 sentences to summarize the main idea(s) of the source.

•            2 or 3 sentences to assess and evaluate the source.

•            1 or 2 sentences to reflect on the source.

Do not copy the article’s abstract.  Do not utilize any of the course readings for your annotated bibliography.  Your annotated bibliography will be due on 10/18. (80 points)
