The textbook introduced three types of chi-square test.

• Goodness-To-Fit compares whether the observed frequency distribution mirrors or differs from the expected distribution. This test would be used to determine is the software is actual tracking the object in the manner it was designed to track the targeted object.
• Analysis of variance addresses compares the distribution of counts for two or more groups using the same variables. The analysis of which one of the multiple labs that is used to test the MC software is consistently giving errors due to equipment calibrations. This can determine whether the equipment needs to be maintenance more often too sure calibration data is correct.
• Test of Independence determines the variables in the contingency table are independent of each other or associated to each other. This test would help to determine whether two limitation of software that is discovered during lab testing is related to each due to the procedure of engaging the software or if as a result of a coding issue.
