After completing the Retail Analysis Assignment, review the spreadsheet then share your analysis of overall trends that you see in the data provided by all class members by type of retail location, level of processing of the product (e.g., potatoes versus frozen french fries?), product attributes, etc. Make a conclusion about whether the differences in prices are justifiable, whether you are surprised by differences, etc. 

Consider:

• Environmental attributes—which product has a lower environmental impact, considering place of production, production practices that you can discover, transportation costs, etc.
• Policy attributes—Do the products from different countries/state face different regulations for production, labor, processing, certifications, importing, etc.? Other policy attributes? You might have to do a bit of research on this.
• Socio-Economic attributes—are price differences based on economic considerations for the supplier (scale and production methods available to the producer/processor/other costs in the supply chain)? On economic status of the buyer (willingness to pay for particular attributes)? Do you see any trends by type of store, type of product, or location?

Do you see any comparisons among types of foods or foods within a group type that surprises you? What explains the differences?
