Design a simply supported prestressed beam of R/60 m span carrying a super imposed dead load of R/100 kN/m and service live load R/60 kN/m. Normal weight of concrete fc'=R/18 MPa and fci'=R/27 MPa and seven wire steel strands of Grade 1725 are be used with fpy =1550 MPa. The section is to be of symmetric I-shape and eccentricity of prestress force will be kept constant along the span. The losses after transfer are estimated to be 15%. The member is required to be of class-U.
