External Environment Presentation Assignment

Scanning the external environment is one of the more difficult steps in creating strategies. The biggest issue is people do not understand where they can get resources that will help them scan the external environment. You are to use your current company or a company you want to work for in the near future and find new resources to help you scan the external environment for that company. For this assignment, you will create a presentation and record it. The presentation does not need to be of your face, but of the power point (or other visual software) and your voice over. If you want to include yourself giving the presentation, then you may do so.

The presentation should include a title slide, an explanation about your organization, line of business, and direct competitors, and a slide for a new resource for each of the main external environment categories. For example, you could include the link to the house of state representatives upcoming bills to be voted on for your political environment resource. You need one slide with one resource for each of the five main external environments. Presentations should be less than 15 minutes, but still explain each resource enough we understand it is a resource.

You will need to post your presentation in two places. One in the discussion board and one in the assignment due section. You will be required to give constructive and positive feedback to at least two of your peers on the discussion board. Here is the grading rubric:
