The main cause of environmental problems deriving from energy use is the use of fossil fuel in power production, in transportation, industry and building sectors. Other energy sources, such as hydropower, nuclear and biomass, also pose some special problems. Solutions to problems in the energy area fall in one of three categories: 1. Energy efficiency (or energy conservation), to obtain an equivalent well-being with less natural resources; 2. Renewable energies, which save fossil fuel from exhaustion; and 3. New technological advances, which manage to achieve commercial scale. These categories are complementary. Based on these categories, create your own Energy Portfolio, to provide technical solutions to the future of energy. Explain in an essay type document your proposed scenario to the energy problem, presenting specific solutions in these three categories. The solutions must complement. In your answer, take into account both the economic and environmental perspective. THE PAPER 1. Must be submitted as a Word document, APA style, and 3 – 4 pages. 2.
